Responsibilities
-Assist ophthalmologists in providing patient care and performing ophthalmic tests
- Prepare examination rooms and equipment for patient visits
- Obtain and record patient medical history and chief complaint
- Perform visual acuity tests, tonometry, OCT, Visual Field, Fundus Photography and other diagnostic tests as directed by the ophthalmologist
- Administer eye drops and medications as instructed by the ophthalmologist
- Complete administrative tasks such as coordinating patient appointments, prior authorizations and schedule surgical cases
Experience:
- Previous experience working as an ophthalmology technician or in a similar role is preferred
